The Wellington based Westpac Rescue Helicopter flew a seriously injured teenager to hospital just before 1:00 this morning.
The helicopter was called to State Highway 2 at Kaitoke (north of Upper Hutt) just before midnight.
Police, fire and Wellington Free Ambulance were on the scene of a car accident where a 19 year old Upper Hutt teen was thrown from it's car after it rolled several times.
We understand that the teen's car was the only one involved in the accident and that the teen was ejected from the car when it rolled.
