Harp of Erin intersection completed
Auckland City Council has completed improvements to the Harp of Erin intersection as part of Project Greenlane.
The work involved changing what was a five-point intersection (where Campbell Road, Wairakei Street, Woodbine Avenue, Main Highway and Great South Road met) into three separate T-intersections.
Finishing touches were made over the last few days, including final landscaping.
The council will be monitoring traffic flows and adjusting the phasing of traffic signals over the coming months.
The new intersections are easier to navigate and will help reduce journey times for the 55,000 people who travel through the area each day.
