Karamea River - Drowning

Location of incident: Karamea River
Incident Type: Drowning.
At about 0930hrs today a search team located the body of the missing tramper in the Karamea River. She was located about 100 metres down stream from her original crossing position. Police from Motueka have been flown into the location to recover the deceased and to do a scene examination. The deceased is Annemarie LEE aged 39 years from Lyttelton, Christchurch.
