Gondwana, Land of the Giants - the show that has thrilled audiences wherever it has performed, opens this coming
Wednesday, under the Dome, here at Auckland Museum.
The show takes audiences back 80 million years when the countries we now know as New Zealand, South America, Australia,
Antarctica, Africa and India were all joined together in one giant super-continent called Gondwana: an amazing land
where plants were as tall as buildings and dinosaurs walked among gigantic dragonflies and ancient ocean dwellers.
The show will be performed in the Museum's stunning new Dome and features spectacular full body puppets in a giant
inflatable garden with huge projections, dramatic lighting and evocative soundscapes.
Gondwana: Land of the Giants is a summer experience not to be missed.

Darwin: Young Collectors series in NZ Herald this coming week
Last days - exhibition must close January 13
As a special feature for the last days of the Darwin Exhibition the NZ Herald is running a series of articles written by
the Museum's Natural History Curators.
This series will encourage children and parents to get out and about in the Auckland environment searching for
particular specimens - and as a special treat, if kids bring in a drawing or a photo of the right specimen to the
Museum's Natural History Information Centre, they get a free ticket to the Darwin exhibition - Charles Darwin of course
being one of history's most famous collectors.
