Kapiti Coast Chief Exec. Leigh Halstead Resigns

Kapiti Coast CE resigns
The Mayor of Kapiti Coast District, Jenny Rowan, today announced that the Council had accepted with regret the resignation of Chief Executive, Leigh Halstead.
"The Council received his resignation today and we have reluctantly decided to accept it," Mayor Rowan said.
"The process for appointing a new chief executive will commence in mid-January and, in the meantime, Group Manager, Development Projects, Kevin Jefferies has agreed to take on the role of Acting Chief Executive."
Mr Halstead's resignation is effective from today.
There will be no further comment on this matter by either party.
