There has been a large earth quake in Gisborne. Reports of major damage. Unknown if any casualties.
Some reports of a Tsunami. This is false. There is no report of Tsunami. Please advise local people to stay where they are unless injury has occurred.
Civil Defence has been activated and staff trying to organise situation. Next update in 30 mins.
