35 Year Old Charged With Christchurch Murder

A 35 year old Christchurch man has been arrested and charged with Murder and Arson in relation to the Homicide enquiry being investigated by the Christchurch Police.
We will not be disclosing the identity of the person charged due to the fact that this matter is now before the Courts.
He will be appearing in the Christchurch District Court on Monday 10 December 2007 at 10 am.
The identity of the deceased has been established but due to difficulties advising next of kin we are still unable to disclose his identity.
The scene examination of the address concerned is continuing and we expect that this will be completed in the next few days.
There is still a considerable amount of work to be completed as we are still trying to ascertain the movements of the victim and the person charged with this offence.
