Attend this Wilding Tree Control Day!!!
The aim of this Wilding Tree Control day is to continue the fight against the wildings at the site where control was
initiated in April this year – the aim is complete eradication in the area. Most trees will be removed by hand pulling,
hand saws or loppers – these will be provided. Wilding Tree Day held in April 2007, at Awarima Station
WHEN: Sunday 9 th December – meeting at 9.00am at Fairlie and finishing with a BBQ lunch on site at about 12.30pm.
Returning to Fairlie by 2.00pm.
WHERE: Meet at Fairlie Four Square supermarket (9.00am depart) to be transported to central site. Control of pines will
be undertaken at Awarima Station, the Anderson’s farm on Clayton Settlement Road. The South Canterbury Four Wheel Drive
Club has offered to transport the volunteers to the site, and assist us in the wilding tree control. Please let me know
approximate numbers from your organisation or group who want to attend.
