Parking restrictions for LA Galaxy training session – Friday 30 November
Parking restrictions will be in place on Thorndon Quay (between Mulgrave Street and Davis Street) on Friday 30 November between 8am and 2pm. Any vehicles parked in no parking zones will be towed away.
The restrictions are in place to allow school children to arrive safely at Westpac Stadium for the LA Galaxy training session, which starts at 11am on Friday. Wellington City Council appreciates your co-operation in this matter. The LA Galaxy visit, featuring international football star David Beckham, has generated a huge amount of publicity for Wellington and the response from schools to the free training session has been enormous. Around 15,000 children will attend the session.
LA Galaxy will play Wellington Phoenix at Westpac Stadium on Saturday 1 December at 7.15pm.
