Why Was Falun Gong Excluded From The Auckland Santa Parade?
Today we invite all media; the general public, the Mayor of Auckland city, Mr. John Banks, Auckland city Councillors, members of Parliament, and Farmers’ Santa Parade Trust Committee members, to attend a press conference.. At the same time, Falun Gong’s Divine Land Marching Band will present a complimentary performance.
TIME: 1:00pm
VENUE: Aotea Square, Auckland City
This event gives you, the media, and the general public an opportunity to share their voice and opinions about who should participate in the 2007 Santa Parade, to be held this Sunday, the 25th of November.
Falun Gong practitioners are very disappointed about the decision to exclude Falun Gong from participating in this years Auckland Farmer’s Santa Parade -- just mere days before the actual event – even though. Falun Gong applied for entry into the parade in July 2007. The public and Falun Gong would like to know the reason why.
The Auckland Farmers Santa Parade’s organiser has welcomed Falun Gong in the Wellington and Hamilton Farmer Santa Parades,. however, excluded Falun Gong from participating in the Auckland City parade
