Council comes to communities
Flaxmere and Havelock North residents are being given an opportunity to catch up on their Council business, news and information at roadshows being held in the communities this month.
The roadshows aim to make it more convenient for residents who may not regularly travel into central Hastings to check whether they qualify for a rates rebate, obtain information on pensioner housing and other community services, learn about waste minimisation and much more.
Representatives from Work and Income and Age Concern will also be on hand to offer advice and information.
The Flaxmere event will be on Thursday 15 November, 9.30am to mid-afternoon at the Flaxmere Shopping Centre.
The Havelock North event will be at the Havelock North Community Centre on Friday 20 November, 9.30am to noon.
