A year of artistic achievement
Students of Artstation are showcasing their talents in a series of exhibitions to celebrate the results of a year’s hard work.
The free exhibitions, in November and December, show a selection of work by students who have participated in year-long art courses throughout 2007 and provide an excellent opportunity for the public to view and purchase work by emerging artists.
The series of shows begins with the inaugural 360° An Introduction to the Visual Arts exhibition. Students from this course exhibit works in various media including painting, photography, printmaking and ceramics. Popular painting exhibitions A Painter’s Progress and A Painter’s Studio follow on from this
Artstation manager John Eaden says that students are encouraged to develop a professional and dedicated approach to their art through the development of a personal philosophy and practice.
“The courses are designed for students who are committed to developing professionally as artists. Many students then move on to tertiary institutions or organise their own exhibitions,” says Mr Eaden.
