Two men and two women will appear in the Wellington District Court this afternoon following a series of search warrants executed in the city today.
Detective Inspector Harry Quinn, Wellington District Crime Services Manager, said the four people face joint charges under the Arms Act.
He said it is inappropriate to comment further on the details of the four people arrested as the matter is now before the court.
Wellington Police are continuing to coordinate police inquiries across the lower half of the country.
