New grants advice programme on Triangle Television
Trust Us – a new show exploring the work of grant-maker ASB Community Trust – is set to begin showing on Triangle Television from May 8, 2007.
In the introductory programme, Trust CEO Jennifer Gill talks about the recent move to closing dates for grants, as well as outlining the Trust’s work throughout Auckland and Northland. The show also features an interview with Sully Paea, founder of Otara’s Crosspower Ministries, who talks about his work with at-risk youth in the South Auckland suburb.
The 15-minute Trust Us show runs at 8pm every Tuesday night. For those who miss the first episode, it will be repeated at the same time each Tuesday this month.
Next month Trust Grants Advisor Catherine George will be interviewed on the show. She will talk about the Trust’s work in funding environmental and heritage projects throughout Auckland and Northland.
This is one of the key
areas where the Trust makes grants - worth around $45
million each year. The others are education, the arts, sport
and recreation, health and social services and marae. In
subsequent months the show will take a look at the Trust’s
work in each of those areas and highlight the work of
community groups working to make Auckland and Northland
better places to live.
Triangle Television broadcasts
to the Auckland region on UHF channel 41. On the North Shore
it can be picked up on UHF channel 42 and in Remuera on UHF
Channel 52. Newer Television sets tend to tune by frequency
in MHz; if you have one of these it is on 631.25 MHz, 639.25
MHz and 719.25 MHz.
