Services running on Christmas Day will be free. This includes bus and train services operated by Tranz Metro, Stagecoach Wellington, The Flyer, Newlands Coach Service, Mana Coach Services and Cityline Hutt Valley.
Most services will be back to normal on Monday 8 January 2007. However, Cityline’s bus route 145 (Lower Hutt to Belmont) and Johnsonville and Melling train line services will not revert to their normal timetables until 15 January 2007.
The following services will not run from 23 December 2006 to 7 January 2007:
 Route 6 Lyall Bay to Lambton Quay via Hataitai bus tunnel
 Route 13 Mairangi to Courtenay Place
 Route 14 Molesworth Street shuttle
 Route 17 Victoria University Kelburn
 Route 80 Wainuiomata Commuter
 Route 90 Stokes Valley Commuter
Leaflets about the Christmas and New Year holiday services will be available from Metlink timetable stockists – which include libraries, information centres and the Metlink Service Centre – from Monday 11 December 2006.
