Elton John in audience to see Elton John
New Zealand’s Own Authentic Elton John will be in Wednesdays Audience seeing the ‘other’ Elton John!
You may not be seeing double but you are certainly hearing the fact that NZ has had it’s own Elton John for a far longer period than the rock superstar has been alive.
The Name Elton John Knight was born in June 1945 a full year and a half before Reginald Dwight who was later to become the Sir Elton John we all know.
During a recent Classic Hits Radio promotion in Wellington the unusual facts came to light. Darren Knight the NZ ‘Eltons’ son wrote in to the promotion outlining how his father had had to live with the constant questions of his identity considering he had the brand for the longer period.
Promoters Capital C: Concerts were happy to ensure that one Elton would enjoy an evening listening to the other on Wednesday December 6
