North Shore City Council chooses local IT partner
December 4, 2006
North Shore City has chosen local company, Revera, to supply the council's Information Technology [IT] services under an innovative managed services arrangement that breaks new ground in New Zealand local government.
The council's chief information officer, Tony Rogers, says the selection of Albany-based Revera over nationwide competition underlines the quality of growing technology industry in North Shore City.
"In moving to a managed services environment for IT, which is a new approach for local government in this country, we sought a partner that shares our vision of providing information within reach," he says.
"Following a detailed evaluation of proposals, it was clear that Revera was best able to provide the technology services needed for this council's complex business operations."
Mr Rogers says Revera's track record and fresh approach impressed his team.
"This North Shore success story brings an innovative approach to this partnership, offering us increased service levels and efficiencies. We also felt there were a strong cultural fit between our two organisations," he says.
