‘Tis the season for Christmas fun
With Christmas just around the corner, Auckland City is celebrating with a series of free community Christmas events across Auckland.
The whole family can get into the Christmas spirit and enjoy fantastic music and a festive atmosphere with the Carols by Candlelight concerts in Three Kings, St Heliers, Western Park, Potters Park and Waiheke Island.
Avondale will be spinning their own Christmas web with the unique Carols by Spiderlight event. This multicultural celebration includes carol-singing, local performances and a visit from Santa.
Onehunga residents will have a twinkling start to their festive season. Music, carol-singing and a visit from Santa Claus will accompany the traditional lighting of the tree in Jellicoe Park.
Aucklanders can experience a special festive atmosphere with Christmas on Great Barrier Island. The Santa Parade includes stalls, family fun, music, and floats.
Join Christmas festivities in the heart of Otahuhu with carol singing, face painting, clowns and a special visit from Santa.
All of these free Christmas events are provided by Auckland City as part of the Ak@Play summer events programme.
Grab your candle, tune your singing voice and get ready for the festive fun ahead.
