Livestock on Northern Motorway
Approximately 5 cows are on the southbound lanes of the Northern Motorway (State Highway One), north of Christchurch
near Kaiapoi.
Police, along with staff from the State Highway roading agency, are attending this. Police urge motorists north and
south bound to take extreme care and reduce their speeds in the area. It is hoped that the cattle can be rounded up or
destroyed shortly.
