Bid on Trademe for a Piece of Ellerslie Flower Show – and Give to the RSA
See the show, and buy the Gazebo! Ellerslie International Flower Show Silver Sponsor Sentinel is auctioning a Victorian gazebo, used on the Sentinel Heritage Garden. All proceeds from the gazebo, which is valued at $6,000, will go to the RSA Welfare Fund.
The auction is taking place on Trademe and will end on 19 November 12 midday. “Bids are expected to start at $500,” says Sentinel Marketing Director, Linda Taylor.
“This is a charming building, and it’s complemented our heritage garden at the show brilliantly. It’s very traditional, with seating around the inside,” she says. Sentinel’s Heritage garden paid homage to New Zealand’s returned soldiers, and was specially designed for the Year of the Veteran. The garden is in competition and features hundreds of scarlet soldier poppies and antique roses.
The gazebo is:
• 3.6 m x 3.6 m across
• painted in white and light grey, with a red roof
• made of wood by quality Hamilton based gazebo makers Cameo
“Have a go at bidding. It’s listed under outdoor goods on Trademe, or can be accessed directly through a click through on Sentinel’s site (www.sentinel.net.nz),” says Linda.
A search of the site seeking ‘Victorian Gazebo’ will take bidders directly to the item. The purchaser must arrange collection from the Ellerslie site (in Manukau City, Auckland) by 23 November.
