Central Queen St Swimming Demonstration
Swimwear clad Climaction supporters will be taking to the streets today for a free public swimming demonstration in Aotea Square at 12.30pm to prepare Aucklanders for climate change and sea level rises.
This is a taste for what is to come as Auckland prepares for the Global Day of Action against climate change.
Auckland can expect to see thousands at the global day of action against climate change at Aotea Square saturday November the 4th at 1pm. The day of action is being celebrated all over the world to highlight the pressing need for action to halt our destablisation of global climate.
In light of recent political statements, Climaction want to show that Auckland supports action, not just talk. 'Climate change is too serious to be a political beachball. Auckland is demanding urgent action NOW.' Said Gin Barker, the Auckland Climaction spokesperson.
