Out with the old, in with the new
Auckland City’s pay and display machines as well as ParkRight pay machines will accept new 10c, 20c and 50c coins from 1 November 2006 and will no longer accept old 5c, 10c, 20c and 50c coins as the three-month coin transition period comes to an end.
Reminders will be located on each of the payment machines informing the public of the end of the transition period.
The $1 and $2 coins remain unchanged and will continue to be accepted. Apart from paying by coin, there are additional payment options, by credit card or by the text to park method.
Auckland city has more than 750 pay and display machines. ParkRight buildings are located in Downtown, Victoria Street, Civic, Karangahape Road and Fanshawe Street.
