New Esmonde Road On-ramp

New Esmonde Road On-ramp
As part of the Northern Busway Project, a new permanent southbound on-ramp at Esmonde Road will be in place from Monday 16 October.
The existing Esmonde Road southbound on-ramp will be closed from 4am until 8am, on Sunday 15 October, and then closed permanently to motorists when it is replaced by the new ramp in the early hours of Monday morning. Buses will continue to use the old Esmonde Road ramp.
At all other times during the weekend, traffic will use the bus shoulder lane to access the motorway southbound towards the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
While the closures are in place and only the bus shoulder lane is open, capacity on the on-ramp will be significantly reduced. Transit suggests using Northcote Road as an alternative route until the new ramp is opened. If you need to use Esmonde Road on-ramp, please drive with caution and be aware that delays are expected.
In the event of bad weather, work may be postponed.
The Northern Busway will open early 2008, providing the North Shore with a modern and efficient public transport system.
