Incident Type: Prison Hostage
Police were called to Paremoremo prison north of Auckland after a sentenced inmate took a prison guard hostage shortly
before 3.00p.m. today.
A team of police and prison negotiators are speaking to the prisoner and an emergency response team is on-scene.
No further details are being released at present however a further release will be made should there be further
developments.
