Busway traffic bulletin: saturday 9 september to friday 15 september
Transit New Zealand advises motorists of next week’s proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for Northern Busway construction (weather permitting).
Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 September
ESMONDE RD
Esmonde Rd eastbound between Barrys Point Rd and Burns Ave - CLOSED - Saturday from 2.30am until 7.30am and Sunday from 9pm until 5am the following morning for works on Shoal Bay Bridge.
- As part of this closure, the left hand turn from Barrys Point Rd into Esmonde Rd will also be closed at this time.
- Motorists are advised to follow the detour route via Barrys Point Rd.
Sunday 10 and Monday 11 September
ESMONDE RD
Northbound off-ramp from SH1 to Esmonde Rd - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for barrier construction.
- Motorists are advised to use the Onewa Rd or Northcote Rd off-ramp as an alternative.
- If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above times, the closure will be on 12 September.
Sunday 10 until Tuesday 12 September
SOUTHBOUND MOTORWAY CLOSURE
All SH1 southbound motorway lanes between Northcote Rd & Esmonde Rd - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for the construction of permanent barriers.
- As part of this closure the Northcote Rd SH1 southbound on-ramp will also be closed at this time.
- Motorists are advised to follow the detour route via Northcote Rd.
- If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above times, the closure will be on 13 &14 September.
Monday 11 until Wednesday 13 September
TRISTRAM AVE
Southbound off-ramp from SH1 to Tristram Ave - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for beam placement on the Tristram Viaduct.
- As part of this closure Tristram Ave between the northbound motorway ramps and Raines Ave will also be closed at this time.
- Motorists are advised to take the detour route via the Northcote Rd off ramp and follow signs to Tristram Ave.
- If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above times, the closure will be on 14 September.
Monday 11 until Wednesday 13 September
TRISTRAM AVE
Southbound on-ramp from Tristram Ave to SH1 - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for beam placement on the Tristram Viaduct.
- Motorists are advised to follow signs to the Northcote Rd on-ramp.
- If unforeseen circumstances prevent work at the above times, the closure will be on 14 September.
Wednesday 13 14 September
NORTHCOTE RD
Southbound off-ramp from SH1 to Northcote Rd - CLOSED - overnight from 9pm until 5am the following morning for temporary barrier placement.
- Motorists are advised to take the detour route via Onewa Rd off-ramp & follow signs to Northcote Rd.
- This closure will only go ahead if the closure of Tristram Ave southbound off-ramp is not required.
