Make sure you visit Martinborough Wine Village
Wineries in Martinborough are enticing wine lovers to explore the Martinborough wine village during its inaugural Cellar
Dweller month which is to be an annual event.
Throughout September wineries are throwing open their cellar doors for tastings with highlights such as new releases and
past vintages on show with food matching and other interesting activities. Martinborough cellar doors offer a unique
wine experience with the rare opportunity to get a glimpse beyond the cellar door. It's a chance to toast the coming of
spring and an absolute treat for wine lovers and those keen to learn.
Take time to explore Martinborough Wine Village, where local businesses and wineries are joining forces to welcome
visitors to the town. There are picnic packs to take with you while visiting the vineyards and bike options for those
wishing to explore the scenery along the way, or enjoy one of the dining experiences at the vineyard.
"Cellar Dwellers is a fabulous opportunity for visitors to speak to winemakers and winegrowers in a relaxed atmosphere,"
says Cath Hopkin, Wines From Martinborough Executive Officer.
"Martinborough wine village offers a unique experience for visitors as wineries are boutique, owned and operated by
family's who love to talk with visitors and share their love of the wine process"
"It is also a great event to learn more about wine to lead into the Toast Martinborough wine, food and music festival on
19 November."
All purchases made at a Cellar Dweller venue are entered in a draw for great prizes including an indulgence weekend in
Martinborough, limited release wines, accommodation, Martinborough products and highly sought after Toast Martinborough
tickets.
