2 Meetings On Draft plans for the Hagley Park/Botanic Gardens
The first of two public meetings to discuss the draft plans for the Hagley Park/Botanic Gardens will be held on Monday 28 August at the Netball Centre in Hagley Park from 12.15pm to 1.45pm.
Council staff will be at the meeting to answer questions about the 56 proposals in the draft plan and to discuss any issues surrounding them.
Public feedback on the proposals which began on 21 August has been strong, says Botanical Gardens Operations Team Manager Jeremy Hawker.
“We are pleased with the response to date and are welcoming views on the plans. We want to encourage as many people as possible to have their say,’’ said Hawker. “The meeting will help clarify any questions people may have about any of the proposals.’’
“Canterbury people feel strongly about Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens. Now is their chance to talk constructively about the proposals which are the result of previous consultation with the public.’’
The second public meeting will be held on Thursday 31 August from 7.30pm to 9pm in the Netball Centre in Hagley Park.
