More temporary CBD bus stop changes
The next stage of work in the Queen Street upgrade between Wakefield and Wellesley streets will bring more temporary changes for bus passengers beginning Sunday, 3 September.
The following bus stops outside the Civic Theatre for North Shore services and some NiteRider services will be temporarily relocated.
North Shore services: The Civic Theatre bus stop moves to Albert Street, outside the SkyCity Convention Centre. Affected routes: 822, 839, 858, 875, 879, 921, 922, 946, 956 as well as 890X, 900X, 945X (Ritchies Express). Effective: Sunday, 3 September
To accommodate the Civic change, some North Shore Stagecoach Express services and the Ritchies 802 Express which currently leave from outside the SkyCity Convention Centre will also be temporarily relocated. These are:
North Shore Stagecoach Express services and Ritchies 802 Express The Albert Street stop outside the SkyCity Convention Centre moves to Victoria Street West by Federal Street. Affected routes: 76X, 85X, 86X, 87X, 802X, 863X, 873X, 874X, 881X Effective: Sunday, 3 September
Hibiscus Coast services and the Northern Express will not be affected.
NiteRider: The Civic Theatre bus stop moves to Wellesley Street West opposite Smith and Caughey's. Affected routes: N83 -Takapuna, East Coast Bays N97 - Beach Haven, Birkenhead N05 - Massey N13 - New Lynn, Henderson Effective: Friday, 8 September
The bus stops will remain at these temporary locations until further notice. Bus departure times will remain the same.

The upgrade of Queen Street is part of the council's 10-year Auckland's CBD Into the future strategy, which aims to revitalise the CBD as a dynamic and vibrant centre of cultural and business activity.
