Forensic pathology and missing persons records will be used to help identify the decomposed body of a mature man found at Pukerua Bay beach yesterday morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Oxnam, Porirua CIB, said a post mortem was held today.
The man's identity is not yet known and police will be relying on forensic pathology and missing persons records to help.
