Student Death Referred To Coroner
New Zealand Police National News Release
18 August 2006
A post mortem has confirmed there is nothing suspicious in the death of 19-year-old Victoria University student Daniel Hansman.
Mr Hansman's body was recovered from Wellington Harbour yesterday morning, a week after he had gone missing while socialising around bars in Courtenay Place.
Detective Senior Sergeant Shane Cotter, Wellington CIB, said there was no sign of injury or trauma and nothing in the post mortem to indicate foul play.
"The cause of death will be determined by the Coroner," he said.
