Incident Type: "Boy Racer" Operation
Christchurch Police undertook a major "boy racer" operation in the City on Friday Night. It was of a weekend long operation enforcing "boy racer" offences and drivers who are in Christchurch for the annual "Autosaloon show".
On Friday night a large number of vehicles were stopped with large numbers of offences being prosecuted.
Police worked with Court Bailiffs and vehicle inspectors from Land Transport New Zealand as part of the operation.
The operation continues on Saturday night with the results being available at about midday on Sunday from Senior Sergeant Pullen.
