Arson Results In Community Rallying Around
Community Spirit and Support Mufti Day
Wednesday 5th July saw Melville High experience what all communities' dread 'Arson', as we now know two classrooms were lost and a further two smoke damaged.
Hamilton City wide and local community residents have felt the impact of such a senseless act of vandalism, with sympathies and offers of help inundating our community office. Key stakeholders within our community rallied to develop a plan of action that would meet both the wishes of the community and assist Melville High School staff and students.
Our aim was to develop a project that truly reflected the sentiments of the community spirit and support shown. A project that could be adopted by any school that was unfortunate to experience such an act as did Melville High School.
