Busway traffic bulletin: Saturday 15 July to Friday 21 July
Transit New Zealand advises motorists of proposed closures for work on State Highway 1 for the construction of the Northern Busway over the next week (weather permitting).
Wednesday 19 July
SOUTHBOUND MOTORWAY CLOSURE
All SH1 southbound motorway lanes from Constellation Drive to Tristram Ave – CLOSED – overnight from 10pm until 5am to allow crash cushion installation:
-Motorists to use Tristram Ave or Northcote Rd on-ramps as alternatives.
-A diversion will be in place for motorists to exit the motorway at Constellation Drive and follow the sign-posted detours before re-entering the motorway at the Tristram Ave southbound on-ramp.
-As part of this closure the Constellation Drive SH1 southbound on-ramp will be closed during these times.
-However if unforeseen circumstances prevent work on this date, the above closures will be 20 July 2006.

ESMONDE RD
The southbound on-ramp from Esmonde Rd to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for barrier placement:
- Motorists to use Northcote Rd on-ramp as an alternative.
Sun 16 July/Mon 17 July/ Tues 18 July/Wed 19 July/Thurs 20 July
ESMONDE RD
Esmonde Rd eastbound - between Barry’s Point Rd and Burns Ave – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for the demolition of the old Shoal Bay Bridge:
-As part of this closure the left turn into Esmonde Rd from Barry’s Point Rd will also be closed at these times.
-Motorists to follow sign-posted detour from Barry’s Point Rd, along Anzac Rd and into Lake Rd to access Takapuna and Devonport

TRISTRAM AVE
The southbound off-ramp from SH1 to Tristram Ave – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for temporary barrier movements and road marking:
- Motorists to use Northcote Rd or Constellation Drive off-ramps as alternatives.

TRISTRAM AVE
The southbound on-ramp from Tristram Ave to SH1 – CLOSED – overnight from 9pm until 5am for temporary barrier movements and road marking:
-Motorists to use Northcote Rd or Constellation Drive on-ramps as alternatives.
Transit New Zealand apologises for any inconvenience caused.
