Wairarapa update 12 – Weather Warnings Lifted

Wairarapa flood event – update no. 12
MetService has lifted all severe weather warnings for the region at 8.30am this morning.
Greater Wellington staff continues to closely monitor river levels throughout the region
River levels should now start to recede with the exception of the Ruamahunga River at Martinborough Bridge which will remain at a high level throughout the day.
Local councils are continuously assessing roads. The public are advised to contact their local district council office for more detailed information on road closures. Information is also available online at www.wrcdemg.govt.nz

In all Wairarapa districts there are still many road closures in place due to surface flooding and slips. Drivers are urged to take extreme care on all roads and drive to the conditions.
