Nominations close for community board by-election
Six candidates have been nominated for the Tamaki community board by-election, which is due to be held on Wednesday 16 August 2006.
Nominations are:
Julian AUSTIN - Citizens & Ratepayers Now
Nellie Tepora CLAY - Ngati Whatua o Orakei
Leanne CROSS - Independent
Bernice HALL - Independent
Arna METCALFE - Labour
Tala PO’E - Progressive Party
The by-election is for one position on the Community Board following the resignation of David Maka.
The by-election will be held by postal ballot, with voting documents mailed to approximately 30,000 electors from Tuesday 25 July 2006. Results will be announced shortly after the close of voting at 12 noon, Wednesday 16 August 2006.
