Take a Digital Library tour and win
Auckland City Libraries invites you to take an online tour of their Digital Library from 3 July to go in the draw to win
free Xtra Broadband for a year sponsored by Telecom.
To enter the competition, simply visit their website at www.aucklandcitylibraries.com from 3 July to 31 July and follow
the links to the online tour.
As one of Auckland City Libraries’ key services, the Digital Library will help you find answers to a million questions
in its full text databases, ebooks, ejournals and encyclopaedias.
Visit the website to view a wide range of subjects that include resources for students, medicine, magazines and
newspapers, science, technology, history, art, literature, genealogy, business plus much more.
Auckland City Libraries Digital Publishing Team Leader, Renee Orr, says:
“The Digital Library is great because it brings the library to you no matter where you are. You can search for
information and know that what you’re getting is from quality sources. And there’s something for everyone, whether it’s
news, music, homework or family history.”
Some of the latest eResources include Ebsco Natural and Alternative Treatments, which is an online guide to
evidence-based research in alternative health and treatments, and Dragonsource, which provides access to popular
magazines in both simplified and traditional Chinese characters.
