The Zoo & ASB bring you animal movie star magic these holidays!
Sat 1 - Sun 16 July
Auckland Zoo is rolling out the red carpet to celebrate the movie stars of the animal kingdom these July holidays.
'ASB Animal Stars of the Zoo' is a chance for all the kids to come and see the real animal stars from Madagascar, Racing Stripes and other famous movies...on their own turf!
Do lemurs really sunbathe? Could a zebra really give a racehorse a run for its money? Do dinosaurs still exist? What animal doesn't stop growing until 35 years old and is heading for extinction without some serious help from humankind? Find out when you receive your second free set of 'MY ZOO' cards.
Come and be a star creator yourself at our daily show 'Witch Whoopsie & the Wild Thing' (10.30am and 11.45am in our Grasslands Theatre). Wacky Witch Whoopsie has been asked to create an outrageous new animal for an upcoming movie she's hoping will be bigger than King Kong - but kids, she'll need your help!
Along with our famous animals, throughout the holidays you could spot some of our Zoo stars from the hit TV series, 'The Zoo' (due to screen again soon on TV2) - your chance to say hi, and maybe get an autograph or two.
There'll also be great competitions and give-aways, including Top Trumps playing cards and fantastic Madagascar toys from Hasbro. Thanks to ASB, 91ZM and Hasbro, you could win one of 16 daily prize packs - filled with goodies.
In addition, we're offering you the chance to win the BLOCKBUSTER prize - your own family of Madagascar animals - and an extra special prize pack from ASB, the bank that's One Step Ahead! To be in to win, just be sure to fill in the entry form attached to your 'MY ZOO' card set, and place in the entry box at the Information Centre.
Normal Zoo admission prices apply.
