Otaki pool to close for 4 days
Operational requirements and the need to boost pump and pipe capacity mean the Otaki Swimming Pool will be closed from 6.00pm Wednesday May 31 through to 6.00am Monday June 4, Kapiti Coast District Council’s Parks & Reserves Asset Manager, Mike Cardiff, said today.
“When we carried out the routine close down a few weeks ago, we made a number of changes which are working well but they’ve shown there’s a need to boost pump capacity and that means further changes have to be made to pipe capacity and alignment.
“The work will start on Wednesday evening and we’ll be finished and ready for customers by first thing on Monday morning.
“We’ve tried to make sure all our regular users are aware of the temporary closure.
“We regret any inconvenience the closure may cause but we hope people will bear with us while we do this work to get the best out of the system and provide a better quality pool experience,” Mike Cardiff said.
