Central city shopkeepers in focus at Our City
Open All Hours, an exhibition by Christchurch photographer Garry Bull, goes on display next Monday, 29 May at Our City O-Tautahi, the Councilfs community exhibition space on the corner of Oxford Terrace and Worcester Boulevard.
Mr Bull has captured an eclectic mix of Christchurchfs central city shops -- from the chic and eccentric to the bizarre and kinky. Owners are depicted centre-stage with their shopfs wares.
gThe collection of photographs is a celebration of creativity within the central city,h Mr Bull says.
He spent the last 18 months photographing in the central city and felt it was important to record these stores and their owners as a historical document so future generations can see the unique nature of Christchurchfs central city shops.
œ Open All Hours runs until 24 June. Admission to Our City O-Tautahi is free. It is open 10am-4pm, Monday to Saturday.
