Public open day for Central Motorway Junction Stage 2 project
Transit New Zealand is holding an open day for the public to see progress of the work currently underway on the Central Motorway Junction (CMJ) Stage 2 upgrade project.
The open day will be held at the project site office at 13-19 Howe Street Auckland on Saturday 29 April, between 10am and 12pm. Project engineers will be on hand to discuss any queries from members of the public about the project.
Visitors will be able to find out about the design and construction progress of New Zealand’s busiest and most complex intersection. The open day will include project displays and images of the Southern Motorway (SH1) to Nelson Street off-ramp which was opened in mid December 2005 and the Northwestern Motorway (SH16) to Nelson Street off-ramp opened in July 2005.
Visitors will also be able to view the work in progress on the new motorway to motorway connections that will carry traffic from the Northern Motorway to the Northwestern Motorway and the Northern Motorway to the Port and vice versa..
