Commonwealth Gold winner scores more 'gold '
Cory Jane , Commonwealth 7's rugby gold medal winner added two more trophies to his collection last nite.He was awarded
Sportsman and overall Sportsperson of the year in The Upper Hutt Sports Awards .The 200 seat Genesis Energy Theatre was
full to find out who won amongst the 65 entries across 25 sports.
Cory Jane is away at the Singapore 7's but was represented by his partner Amy Letitia Carr was sportswoman of the year
after many winning many international karate medals in the last year.. Mayor Wayne Guppy remarked on the high volume of
top quality nominations in the Emerging sportspeople category.The Upper Hutt Cosmopolitan Club sponsor the awards. The
Upper Hutt Sports Awards prepare the way for the upcoming Welington Region Awards.
