Howdy Art Lovers!
Here's a unique chance to explore the Coromandel art scene.
From 13 - 21 May, thirty of Coromandel town's top artists will open their homes and studios to the public, exhibiting
their creations in the environment which they were created. The event is a unique chance to venture into the domain of
the artist, meet with them and discuss their work.
It is also a rare opportunity to purchase direct from the artists themselves.
Most of the artists involved have chosen to locate themselves amongst idyllic, inspirational settings so it is also a
chance to take in the spectacular Coromandel landscape.
"It wouldn't be the Coromandel with out a few quirky twists to the event. To help guide people along the route we are
placing Mussel Buoys outside each venue with a large X painted on them, sort of like a hidden art trail." explains
Deborah Hide, coordinator of the innaugrual event "We've got a great selection of artists involved in the event, from
the well known and established like Barry Brickell to new and upcoming artists."
While the artists will have their studios open to the public during this time, an Arts Tour ticket will be required to
get entry to the studios. It costs just $10 and the price includes a tour map and details of each artist involved. Check
