Your Weekly Council Update
Here are the decisions of Wellington City Council - 22 March
The Council:
- Adopted the audited draft Long Term Council Community Plan 2006/07 – 2015/16. The draft plan will go out for public consultation for a month from April 12. The proposed rates increase for 2006/07 is 4.8 percent. For more information please click here.
- Appointed Rick Christie as a Council representative to the board of Positively Wellington Business – a Council Controlled Organisation. For more information please click here.
- Appointed Councillor Robert Armstrong as Acting Deputy Mayor from 23-30 March as the Mayor and Deputy Mayor are overseas.
- Approved up to three councillors to attend the Climate Change and Governance Conference – Critical Issues for New Zealand and the Pacific – in Wellington on 28-29 March.
