Migrant Expo in Auckland. “Back then I had to get information the hard way. Here migrants can get a lot of information
under one roof.”
An exclusive exhibition fully focussed towards migrant settlement the Migrant Expo was launched in Auckland in October
2004. It is organised by Migrant News – New Zealand’s only newspaper that focuses on the settlement issues of migrants,
refugees and international students.
Commenting on the 3rd exhibition held last year, T. Raines, the Marketing Manager for Migrant News said: "The Migrant
Expo is clearly emerging as the leading event for information gathering for settled migrants, new settlers, refugees,
overseas students and now overseas visitors in New Zealand.

b) EMPLOYER BOOTHS: Employers have taken up stands at the show previously, but with the current shortage of skilled
labour we are making a concerted effort to attract employers to exhibit. At the same time, skilled migrants from
overseas are being invited to visit the show in Auckland and Hamilton so that they can attend interviews with employers
on-the-spot.
c) EMPLOYMENT WORKSHOP: Round-the-clock presentations by employment agencies, employers, career advisors, mentors and
employment strategists.
d) EDUCATION & TRAINING - the latest educational products and courses, Language CDs, English Language courses, Computer Courses, MYOB
and more
e) BUSINESS MIGRANT - products, services and business opportunities that will interest those with an entrepreneurial
