Views sought on Draft Flat Bush Community Plan
Manukau City Council is hosting two community workshops to give residents their say on the Draft Flat Bush Community
Plan.
The draft plan has been developed through consultation with the Botany Community Board and other interested groups.
Manukau City Council now invites submissions from the wider community.
The document covers health, education, transport and other community needs. It is the vehicle by which people can get
involved in developing the town and express their aspirations for living, working and playing in Flat Bush.
The workshops will take place as follows:

Venue : Chapel Downs School Hall
Time : 7:00 pm
Date : Wednesday 15 March 2006
Venue : Botany Downs College Conference Room (First Floor)
Time : 7:00 pm
Everyone is welcome to attend.
Following the consultation, it is intended that the finalised document will be published by end June 2006.
Raewyn Stone, Senior Planner at the Council, says:
“Once complete, the Community Plan will set out the community's vision, objectives and priorities for Flat Bush. These
will provide the framework to develop, and the environment to nurture, a strong community that meets the needs of those
living there”
“The Plan will also help guide the work programmes of Manukau City Council, Government and other key agencies.”
Copies of the Draft Flat Bush Community Plan are available at Manukau libraries or can be downloaded, along with the
summary and supporting research documents, from Council’s website http://www.manukau.govt.nz/flatbush.htm.
