Watch out for the horse!
If you are planning to head to Newmarket next week then don't be surprised when you see racing horses, pipe bands, the who's who of Auckland Racing, the Auckland Cup and fashionable ladies in hats. They will all be featuring at the inaugural Auckland Cup Week Parade of Champions on Tuesday, 7 March at 12.30pm.
There may be traffic delays for motorists accessing Broadway from Great South Road, Manukau Road, St Mark's Road, and also from Parnell and Khyber Pass Roads. Drivers using these roads may wish to use alternative routes during the parade.
Broadway will be closed in parts from 12.30pm. As the parade moves down Broadway, the road will reopen for general traffic at approximately 1.15pm.
