Clifftop Champagne Party for Charity
North Shore Supporters of Home and Family Society are holding a “Clifftop Champagne Party” at Norwood, a private home in Takapuna on Thursday the 9th of March 2006. Starting at 6 pm, the evening will be fun-filled with a live jazz quartet to set the mood. The sprawling lawns of the Takapuna house atop the cliff overlook the waters of Rangitoto and memories of the party in such an unmatched ambience will surely be tribute to the glorious summer we have been enjoying.
Home and Family Society is a 112 year old not-for-profit counselling service. Its Northshore service in Glenfield opened in 2003. The organisation provides affordable counselling, subsidising sessions by donations and fundraising. The Clifftop Champagne party is one of the several fundraising events planned for 2006.
Champagne will be flowing freely and delicious food circulating. Tickets at $ 50 a head can be obtained from either center, North Shore Tel: 4412433/email northshore @ homeandfamily.org.nz or Mt. Eden Tel: 6308961/ info @ homeandfamily.org.nz . Guests can also participate in a lively auction.
Lending an artistic hue to the evening, international artist Hugh Brading will paint a work on site which will be auctioned towards the end of the evening by none other than Murray White, one of Barfoot and Thompson’s celebrated auctioneers. Other prizes up for auction include two nights luxury accommodation with continental breakfast at Marlin House in Paihia, two weekends, one at a beach house on the Coromandel and another in Northland, a sago palm, beauty therapy from Enhance and other gifts. All proceeds from the auction will go towards funding Home and Family Society’s ongoing work helping Aucklanders rebuild their lives.
With a spot prize thrown in, the evening promises to be a sellout and with limited tickets on offer, it is advisable to buy early. Please call Petra Page at 630 8961, or Josephine at 4412433 for your tickets.
