Recycling at events this summer

Recycling at events this summer
This summer you can recycle at several SummerTimes events as part of a trial looking at recycling at public events.
“We have such high participation in the Real Recycling kerbside collection, we’re hoping by providing recycling stations people will start to recycle at play as well as they do at home,” says Christchurch City Council’s Resource Planner, Diane Shelander.
Recycling stations will be in several locations - under green recycle flags - and will consist of two wheelie bins with blue lids. One wheelie-bin will be for glass containers and the other wheelie bin will be for plastic (types 1 and 2) and metal containers.
Recycling stations will be located at the following SummerTimes events: Anthony Harper Summer Theatre (running until Sunday 12 February), McDonalds Teddy Bears' Picnic (rescheduled to Sunday 12 February), ASB Starry Nights (Saturday 18 February) and Rick Armstrong Motors Classical Sparks (Saturday 4 March).
