Abduction Offender Found
New Zealand Police National News Release
A 31 year old man from Napier has been located in Whakatane in possession of the missing Honda Accord used in the abduction of a Napier woman on Tuesday.
Detective Sergeant Mike Foster of Napier Police said the man has been charged with unlawfully taking the vehicle and enquiries are continuing to establish the extent of his involvement in the abduction.
Police would like to thank the public for their outstanding responses which were instrumental in the vehicle and the man being located.
A further statement is expected to be made late this afternoon in Napier.
