Council appoints Deputy Chair for Waterfront
Wellington City Council has appointed Michael Cashin to a new role as Deputy Chair of the Wellington Waterfront Ltd Board for a one year term.
Mayor Kerry Prendergast said the new role of Deputy Chair will provide additional expertise at a time when Wellington Waterfront Ltd is busy with a number of significant projects.
“There is a lot of development and a number of large projects taking place on the waterfront. The Council has decided it would be sensible to get in an extra pair of hands to help out at this busy time.”
Mr Cashin is a Director and Chair of Mooring Systems Ltd. He is also a Director of Ryman Healthcare Ltd and Capital Properties NZ Ltd, and has held senior appointments in a number of large organisations including Housing Corporation of NZ, Housing New Zealand, Work Insurance Ltd, Allied Farmers Ltd and Centreport Ltd.
Renewed Wellington Waterfront Ltd Board appointments include Fran Wilde (Chair) and Mark Petersen (Director) reappointed for a further three years.
